Food Prices in East Java, Sunday (19/5): What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (19/5/2024) at 15.26 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp640 (1.42%) to Rp45,580 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease, down by Rp100 (1.89%) to Rp5,200 per kg.
