East Java Food Prices Monday (25/11): Rice Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (25/11/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), medium rice, granulated sugar, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, red chili peppers, farmer-level corn, curly red chilies, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) experienced the highest price increase of Rp440 (4.47%), reaching Rp10,280 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp2,830 (15.23%), reaching Rp15,750 per kg.

8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,500 per kg (up 1.15%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp23,690 per kg (down 5.05%)
10. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,350 per liter (up 1.23%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (up 1.43%)
12. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp15,850 per liter (down 6.43%)
