East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Wednesday, January 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (3/1/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, bulk wheat flour, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, curly red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase of Rp460 (6.93%) to Rp7,100 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the lowest decrease of Rp2,810 (8.08%) to Rp31,950 per kg.

9. Chicken Meat: Rp31,160 per kg (down 3.32%)
