Daily Red Onion Prices in West Sumatra Province's Modern Markets Increased by 4.38% Over the Past Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of shallots in West Sumatra's modern markets is recorded at Rp47,700 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day, mirroring the price trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of shallots in modern markets has increased from Rp45,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of shallots in modern markets in West Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 2.69% from the previous price of Rp46,450 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of shallots in modern markets in this province was in May 2017, with a 26.75% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2018, with a -21.73% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in West Sumatra show three commodities decreased and 18 increased. The commodities with price decreases are Super II Quality Rice, Premium Quality Sugar, and Super I Quality Rice.

6. Super II Quality Rice per kg: Rp18,550 per kg (down 0.54%)
7. Grade 1 Beef per kg: Rp158,950 per kg (unchanged)
8. Green Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp63,250 per kg (up 15.53%)
9. Medium I Quality Rice per kg: Rp17,750 per kg (up 1.72%)
10. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp23,350 per kg (up 2.41%)
11. Fresh Layer Chicken Meat per kg: Rp52,150 per kg (unchanged)
