East Java Food Prices Wednesday (16/10): Chili and Egg Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (16/10/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, SPHP rice, milkfish, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp310 (5.82%) to Rp5,640 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel decreased the most, dropping Rp1,110 (3.34%) to Rp32,140 per kg.

6. Indian Mackerel: Rp32,140 per kg (down 3.34%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,640 per kg (up 0.2%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,320 per kg (down 0.47%)
9. Red Onion: Rp23,130 per kg (down 1.91%)
10. Curly Red Chili: Rp18,880 per kg (down 1.26%)
