Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (28/7/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase of Rp2,750 (6.12%) to Rp47,710 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp350 (3.08%) to Rp11,000 per kg.
