Central Java Food Prices Friday (20/12): Onion, Rice, and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (20/12/2024) at 15.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, SPHP rice, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest, increasing by Rp3,340 (8.88%) to Rp40,950 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk wheat flour decreased the most sharply, by Rp80 (0.87%) to Rp9,090 per kg.
