Bali's Current Food Prices: Sugar and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (1/6/2024) at 10:45 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, mackerel fish, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) saw the highest price increase of Rp390 (3.45%) to Rp11,680 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,790 (6.19%) to Rp27,120 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas as of June 1, 2024, at 10:45 WIB.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,630 per kg (down 0.04%)
