East Java Food Prices Thursday (May 2nd): Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/5/2024) at 15:57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, red chilies, chicken eggs, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, farmer-level corn, garlic cloves, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp180 (1.49%) to Rp12,300 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,520 (5.79%) to Rp24,710 per kg.
