BRI Liga 1 Week Four Standings: Dewa FC Remains at the Top

The fourth matchday of the BRI Liga 1 2023/2024 concluded with two intense matches held on Sunday (23/7/2023).

The afternoon match featured Persebaya Surabaya against RANS Nusantara FC. Persebaya almost fell at home but managed a 2-2 draw.

The evening match was a dramatic encounter between Madura United and Persis Solo, ending with a narrow 4-3 victory for Madura United.

Madura United, also known as Laskar Sapeh Kerrab, opened the scoring with a superb goal by Francisco Rivera.

Madura United added another goal through Jacob Mahler in the first half, followed by two goals from Junior Brandao in the second half.

Trailing 0-4, Persis Solo, or Laskar Sambernyawa, fought back, scoring three goals in the final minutes. Roni Gonzalez scored in the 90th minute, and Fernando Rodriguez added two more in injury time.

This result put Madura United in seventh place, tied with RANS Nusantara FC, both on 7 points.

Dewa United topped the table after defeating Persik Kediri 3-0. The Tangsel Warrior sits at the top with 10 points.

The relegation zone currently consists of Persib Bandung, Arema FC, and Bhayangkara FC.
