Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Salt, Red Chili, and Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (17/11/2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 10 saw an increase and 14 saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include mackerel, fresh buffalo meat (local), consumption sugar, SPHP rice, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as dried soybean (imported), corn at farmer level, garlic bulb, bulk wheat flour, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest surge, increasing by Rp2,740 (7.49%) to Rp39,313 per kg. The price of large red chili experienced the deepest drop, decreasing by Rp57,167 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
