Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Salt, Cooking Oil, and Chilies Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (11/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, red chili peppers, curly red chilies, shallots, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, pure beef, SPHP rice, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,770 (3.45%) to Rp53,050 per kg. Milkfish had the largest price decrease of Rp2,830 (8.14%), reaching Rp31,930 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,530 per kg (down 0.31%)
