Food Prices on Thursday (21/8) in DKI Jakarta: Chicken Meat and Oil Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today were observed to be higher than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (August 21, 2025) at 10:17 AM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities saw price increases and 5 commodities saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, mackerel, milkfish, broiler chicken meat, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, premium rice, dried soybeans (imported), packaged cooking oil, and consumption salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna commodity saw the highest jump of Rp6,734 (14.99%) to Rp51,667 per kg. The price of dried soybeans (imported) experienced the deepest drop of Rp9,600 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.

3. Large Red Chili: Rp50,000 per kg (increase 9.49%)
4. Milkfish: Rp50,000 per kg (increase 7.91%)
5. Mackerel: Rp46,667 per kg (increase 10.24%)
6. Shallots: Rp46,429 per kg (decrease 4.15%)
7. Garlic Bulb: Rp45,429 per kg (increase 6.08%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp43,571 per kg (increase 7.25%)
9. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp43,571 per kg (increase 1.77%)
10. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp39,429 per kg (increase 6.95%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,600 per kg (increase 1.24%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,714 per liter (decrease 0.53%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp19,333 per liter (increase 0.93%)
14. Consumption Sugar: Rp18,429 per kg (increase 0.41%)
15. Minyakita: Rp18,000 per liter (increase 0.87%)
16. Premium Rice: Rp15,400 per kg (decrease 0.05%)
17. Medium Rice: Rp14,000 per kg (increase 6.58%)
18. Packaged Wheat Flour: Rp12,714 per kg (increase 3.42%)
19. Consumption Salt: Rp10,857 per kg (decrease 7.72%)
