Price of Medium Quality II Rice in Modern Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in Aceh province's modern markets is recorded at Rp15,850 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly, there has been no change in price over the past week.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp16,050 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in modern markets over the past three months in Aceh shows a 0% decrease. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in Aceh province's modern markets is traded at Rp15,850 per kg.

The highest recorded price increase for daily medium-quality grade II rice in the province's modern markets was in June 2018, with a 3.73% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in February 2020, at -5.8%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Aceh today show 16 commodities decreased and five increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Red Onion, Chicken Eggs, Rice, Cooking Oil, Medium-Sized Red Onion, Super Grade II Rice, Grade I Low-Quality Rice, Green Chili Peppers, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Granulated Sugar, Chili Peppers, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Super Grade I Rice, Grade I Medium-Quality Rice, and Grade II Medium-Quality Rice.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in Aceh province:

1. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp21,650 per kg (down 4.84%)
2. Red Chili Peppers per kg: Rp69,900 per kg (up 84.43%)
3. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp21,850 per kg (up 2.34%)
4. Red Onion per kg: Rp48,900 per kg (down 14.96%)
5. Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp34,850 per kg (down 8.89%)
6. Rice per kg: Rp15,600 per kg (down 2.8%)
7. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp21,750 per kg (down 1.36%)
8. Medium-Sized Red Onion per kg: Rp48,900 per kg (down 14.96%)
9. Super Grade II Rice per kg: Rp16,000 per kg (down 0.62%)
10. Grade I Low-Quality Rice per kg: Rp15,400 per kg (down 0.96%)
11. Green Chili Peppers per kg: Rp63,200 per kg (down 16.4%)
12. Garlic per kg: Rp50,900 per kg (unchanged)
13. Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp34,850 per kg (down 8.89%)
