Indonesia's Thursday (October 17th) Food Prices: Onions Up, Beef Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (17/10/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, premium rice (SHP), and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, milkfish, bulk wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp400 (6.66%) to Rp6,410 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the sharpest decline, dropping Rp1,100 (3.32%) to Rp32,040 per kg.
