Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Cooking Oil Up, Rice Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (20/12/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Simple packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp410 (2.19%) to Rp19,110 per liter. Meanwhile, bulk wheat flour experienced the largest price decrease of Rp390 (4.34%) to Rp8,590 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas on December 20, 2024, at 09.44 WIB.
