The price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) in Southeast Sulawesi reached Rp 28,000 per kg on Friday, July 1, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area showed the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily monitoring of staple food commodity prices from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) in Southeast Sulawesi has increased by 58.19% within a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) in this region has increased by 72.84%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current selling price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) in modern markets of Southeast Sulawesi is the highest on record.

For the period of January-July 2022, the price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) in modern markets has continuously increased, rising by 72.84% compared to the price a month ago.

The price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) reached its lowest point of Rp 28,000 per kg on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. The highest price reached this year was also around Rp 28,000 per kg.

Nationally, the price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) started to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of branded cooking oil (second tier brand) in modern markets is Rp 25,350 per kg, a 13.67% increase compared to the previous weekend.
