Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (1/12/2024) at 10:13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, shallots, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, red chili peppers, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp180 (1.56%) to Rp11,700 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp1,680 (6.94%) to Rp22,540 per kg.
