Latest West Sumatra Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (5/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, red chilies, farmer-level corn, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, Indian mackerel, pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp3,860 (6.72%) to Rp61,280 per kg. Shallot prices decreased the most, by Rp310 (1.43%) to Rp21,350 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in West Sumatra according to Bapanas on August 5, 2024, at 16.13 WIB.
