Daily Prices of Low-Quality Grade II Rice in Traditional Markets, March 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of low-quality grade II rice in traditional markets in North Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp12,900. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of low-quality grade II rice in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp12,800.

Meanwhile, the daily price of low-quality grade II rice in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the last three months has increased by 0.39% from the previous record of Rp12,850.

The highest record of price increase for daily low-quality grade II rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in November 2016 with an increase of 16.48%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in November 2016 with a decrease of -13.68%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in North Sumatra show three commodities decreased and 23 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Fresh Layer Eggs, Fresh Broiler Chicken, and Chicken Eggs.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the last month in North Sumatra Province:
