Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati reported that the budget realization for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) development in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) reached Rp2.3 trillion as of February 29, 2024.
“This year, the IKN budget in the APBN is Rp39.3 trillion, and the realization is Rp2.3 trillion or 5.8% of the budget ceiling,” said Sri Mulyani in an online press conference on the Kemenkeu YouTube account, Monday (March 25, 2024).
She detailed that Rp400 billion of the Rp36.4 trillion budget allocation was used for infrastructure clusters. These funds were used for the construction of buildings in the state palace area, the coordinating ministry and other ministry areas, and the IKN Authority (OIKN) building.
Furthermore, the budget was also used for the construction of state civil apparatus (ASN) and defense and security apartment towers, ministerial houses, the IKN toll road, IKN roads and bridges, a VVIP airport, the arrangement and improvement of the Sepaku Semoi Dam area, the Embung Core Central Government Area (KIPP), IKN flood control, and the rehabilitation of forests and land around IKN.
Sri Mulyani stated that the remaining budget was used for non-infrastructure clusters, with a realization of Rp1.9 trillion from a budget ceiling of Rp2.9 trillion. This budget was used for planning, coordination, and preparation for the relocation, promotion/publication/socialization of IKN, policy reports and recommendations to ministries/agencies (K/L), mapping activities, monitoring and evaluation, Polri security support, and OIKN operations.
According to Sri Mulyani, the total allocation of the IKN budget in the APBN from 2022 to 2024 reached Rp71.8 trillion.
The IKN budget realization in 2022 was recorded at Rp5.5 trillion and in 2023 at Rp27 trillion.
Overall, the realization of APBN state expenditure in 2024 as of March 15, 2024, reached Rp470.3 trillion, equivalent to 14.1% of the budget ceiling of Rp3,325.1 trillion. This achievement grew significantly by 18.1% year-on-year (yoy).
The details are: central government spending was recorded at Rp328.9 trillion, consisting of ministry/agency (K/L) spending of Rp165.4 trillion and non-K/L spending of Rp163.4 trillion. Transfers to regions were recorded at Rp141.4 trillion.
