West Java Food Prices, Week of December 22nd: What's the Price of Onions?

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (22/12/2024) at 09.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, milkfish, granulated sugar, medium-grain rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up by Rp230 (4.06%) to Rp5,900 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for curly red chilies, down Rp2,080 (5.19%) to Rp38,010 per kg.
