Current Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (18/10/2024) at 13.20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, iodized fine salt, curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp680 (2.56%) to Rp27,290 per kg. Packaged cooking oil saw the largest price decrease, falling by Rp180 (1.02%) to Rp17,490 per liter.
