Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice, Chicken, and Onion Prices Drop

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (13/7/2024) at 11:41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, SPHP rice, iodized fine salt, mackerel, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, medium rice, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest at Rp2,360 (4.74%) to Rp52,120 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most at Rp310 (1.14%) to Rp26,840 per kg.
