Food Prices on Tuesday (September 10th) in Yogyakarta: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (10/9/2024) at 14.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, chicken eggs, milkfish, shallots, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, fine iodized salt, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level surged the highest, by Rp420 (8.27%) to Rp5,500 per kg. The price of fine iodized salt decreased the most sharply, by Rp490 (4.1%) to Rp11,460 per kg.
