Sumatra Barat Food Prices Saturday (November 9th): Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (9/11/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, Indian mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, red chilies, chicken meat, premium rice, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp800 (2.69%) to Rp30,490 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp1,900 (4.56%) to Rp39,790 per kg.
