The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reported that non-tax state revenue (PNBP) from the ESDM sector reached Rp300.3 trillion in 2023.

This achievement is equivalent to 116% of last year's target of Rp259.2 trillion.

In 2023, the mineral and coal (minerba) sector contributed the most, namely Rp173 trillion or 58% of the total PNBP from the ESDM sector.

"The minerba sector continues to make a significant contribution over the past two years, due to increased demand in the global market and the surge in mineral commodity prices," said ESDM Minister Arifin Tasrif in a press conference on Tuesday (15/1/2024).

Then there were PNBP contributions from oil and gas (migas) of Rp117 trillion, from new, renewable, and energy conservation (EBTKE) of Rp3.1 trillion, and others of Rp7.3 trillion.

For 2024, the Ministry of ESDM has set a lower PNBP target of Rp227.3 trillion.

According to Arifin, the target reduction is to anticipate global conditions that are putting pressure on ESDM commodity prices.

"We are striving to increase (PNBP), but certainly not burdening economic actors who drive our economic growth," he said.
