Current Food Prices in Central Java: Salt and Beef Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (1/8/2024) at 11:55 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, iodized fine salt, kembung fish, shallots, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, milkfish, medium rice, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp380 (1.09%) to Rp35,350 per kg. Red chili pepper prices experienced the sharpest decrease, falling by Rp2,480 (3.52%) to Rp68,060 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp32,570 per kg (down 1.78%)
7. Kembung Fish: Rp31,820 per kg (up 1.08%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,510 per kg (down 1.26%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,480 per kg (down 0.75%)
