Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Sugar, Rice, and Eggs Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (25/9/2024) at 16.51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, medium rice, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, pure beef, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,470 (5.14%) to Rp50,570 per kg. Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the sharpest price drop, decreasing Rp150 (1.1%) to Rp13,530 per kg.

8. Curly Red Chilies: Rp31,250 per kg (up 1.1%)
9. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,560 per kg (up 0.18%)
