Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra Region: Onions Up, Chilies Down (Sunday, March 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (3/3/2024) at 13:30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, fine iodized salt, premium rice, dry soybean seeds (import), and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp860 (2.68%) to Rp32,890 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp270 (3.48%) to Rp7,480 per kg.
