Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Monday, April 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (1/4/2024) at 14:39 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, red chilies, curly red chilies, granulated sugar, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, fine iodized salt, pure beef, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp840 (2.45%) to Rp35,100 per kg. Fine iodized salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp30 (0.26%) to Rp11,620 per kg.
