Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Rice, Chicken, and Onion Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (21/9/2024) at 2:25 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, mackerel, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, milkfish, medium rice, chicken eggs, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp300 (1.12%) to Rp26,990 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp320 (0.93%) to Rp34,110 per kg.
