Current Jambi Region Food Prices: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (23/8/2024) at 14.51 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, shallots, medium rice, bulk cooking oil, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, curly red chilies, broiler chicken, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, up by Rp590 (2.97%) to Rp20,480 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the most significant price drop, down by Rp2,200 (6.26%) to Rp32,930 per kg.
