Central Java Food Prices (August 11th): Salt Up, Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (11/8/2024) at 11:55 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, garlic cloves, SPHP rice, chicken eggs, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, pure beef, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up by Rp480 (9.82%) to Rp5,370 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for curly red chilies, down by Rp1,310 (3.62%) to Rp34,890 per kg.
