Jakarta, DKI Food Price Update Today: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Wednesday, February 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 08.17 WIB, out of 14 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, mackerel, milkfish, skipjack tuna, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices saw the highest increase of Rp6,410 (16.61%) to Rp45,000 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel prices saw the lowest decrease of Rp10,520 (29.62%) to Rp25,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 14 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas as of February 21, 2024, at 08.17 WIB.

1. Red Chili Peppers: Rp80,000 per kg (down 3.09%)
2. Curly Red Chilies: Rp70,000 per kg (down 14.32%)
3. Broiler Chicken: Rp45,000 per kg (up 16.61%)
4. Red Onions: Rp40,000 per kg (up 6.13%)
5. Shallot Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 2.34%)
6. Milkfish: Rp35,000 per kg (down 13.77%)
7. Chicken Eggs: Rp32,000 per kg (up 9.93%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 17.47%)
9. Mackerel: Rp25,000 per kg (down 29.62%)
10. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,000 per liter (up 15.07%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 8.83%)
12. Premium Rice: Rp15,600 per kg (down 5.85%)
13. Packaged Wheat Flour (non-bulk): Rp14,000 per kg (up 6.63%)
