Central Java Food Prices Saturday (July 6th): Oil and Rice Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (6/7/2024) at 09.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, Indian mackerel, dry soybean (import), and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour, granulated sugar, farmer-level corn, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp750 (6.54%) to Rp12,210 per kg. Pure beef experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp4,690 (3.62%) to Rp124,890 per kg.
