Red Onion Prices at Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 2:44 PM WIB, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in DKI Jakarta Province remained unchanged compared to the previous day, consistent with the price trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets has decreased from Rp57,050.

Meanwhile, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in DKI Jakarta over the past three months has increased by 5.33% from the previous trading price of Rp45,000.

The highest record for the daily price increase of shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2024 with an increase of 38.63%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in May 2025 with a decrease of -25.08%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in DKI Jakarta today showed 17 commodities decreasing and two increasing. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Daily Curly Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Medium-Sized Shallots, Daily Large Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Shallots in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Rice in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Super I Quality Rice, Daily Cooking Oil in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Red Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Bulk Cooking Oil in Traditional Markets by Province.
