Latest Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta: Salt Price Rises, Red Chili Price Falls

The prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) at 09:57 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include consumption sugar, mackerel, SPHP rice, bulk wheat flour, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, skipjack tuna, red onion, pure beef, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt recorded the highest increase of Rp1,200 (10.43%) to Rp12,700 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili saw the deepest decline of Rp3,777 (11.33%) to Rp29,556 per kg.

6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,333 per kg (down 1.32%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp31,333 per kg (up 0.53%)
8. Garlic Bulbs: Rp30,667 per kg (up 0.41%)
9. Curly Red Chili: Rp29,556 per kg (down 11.33%)
10. Broiler Eggs: Rp27,300 per kg (up 1.2%)
