Indonesia's Rupiah Closes at Rp 14,524 per US Dollar Today (Monday, July 19)

After reaching its lowest point on Monday, May 10, 2021, the Indonesian Rupiah's exchange rate against the US dollar remains volatile, as seen over the past week. The Rupiah is currently trading at Rp 14,524 per US dollar, a 0.05 percent weakening compared to yesterday. This represents a 0.3 percent decline compared to six days ago.

Over the past week, the Rupiah's exchange rate against the US dollar fluctuated within a range of Rp 38 per US dollar. The highest transaction was at Rp 14,524 per US dollar, and the lowest at Rp 14,486 per US dollar.

Over the past month, the Rupiah's exchange rate against the US dollar traded within a wider price range of Rp 342 per US dollar, with the lowest value at Rp 14,222 per US dollar.

Meanwhile, among the major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the Rupiah experienced the highest weakening against the Swiss Franc over the past week, followed by the Japanese Yen, Kuwaiti Dinar, Offshore Chinese Yuan, and the US dollar.

Over the past month, the Rupiah's performance was most negatively impacted against the Vietnamese Dong, followed by the Kuwaiti Dinar, Japanese Yen, Papua New Guinean Kina, and Saudi Riyal.
