Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Price Rises, Cayenne Pepper Drops

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (October 9, 2025) at 09.53 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are mackerel, consumption salt, red onion, broiler eggs, and dried soybean seeds (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), garlic bulb, medium rice, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt commodity surged the highest by Rp455 (4.2%) to Rp11,280 per kg. As for skipjack tuna, its price dropped the most by Rp2,169 (6.72%) to Rp30,115 per kg.

9. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp33.389 per kg (down 4.2%)
