Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Rice and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (26/11/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, farmer-level corn, simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, dry soybean (import), premium rice, red chili peppers, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat prices surged the highest at Rp1,590 (4.33%) to Rp38,330 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili pepper prices decreased the most at Rp7,430 (19.52%) to Rp30,640 per kg.

6. Red Chili Peppers: Rp30,640 per kg (down 19.52%)
7. Milkfish: Rp30,500 per kg (down 4.48%)
8. Red Onion: Rp30,450 per kg (down 0.07%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,610 per kg (down 1.21%)
