South Sumatra Food Prices Week of April 28th: Egg, Sugar, and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (28/4/2024) at 13:43 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, garlic cloves, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, medium rice, chicken eggs, premium rice, and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,700 (7.57%) to Rp52,560 per kg. The price of shallots saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp840 (1.37%) to Rp60,580 per kg.
