Sumatera Utara Food Price Update Today: Prices of Chicken, Cooking Oil, and Beef Rise (Tuesday, January 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (16/1/2024) at 16.29 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include cooking oil (curah), skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, garlic cloves, milkfish, farmer-level corn, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken increased the most by Rp790 (2.56%) to Rp31,670 per kg. The price of red chilies decreased the most by Rp6,700 (12.58%) to Rp46,570 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp36,210 per kg (down 1.01%)
7. Curly Red Chilies: Rp34,840 per kg (up 1.54%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,480 per kg (up 0.7%)
9. Broiler Chicken: Rp31,670 per kg (up 2.56%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,950 per kg (up 0.07%)
