Latest Food Prices in Jakarta: Chicken and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (8/12/2024) at 10:48 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are granulated sugar, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, garlic cloves, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp4,510 (12.71%) to Rp40,000 per kg. Chicken meat experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp12,890 (34.02%) to Rp25,000 per kg.

2. Red Onion: Rp45,000 per kg (up 5.19%)
3. Red Chili: Rp45,000 per kg (up 9.22%)
4. Garlic Cloves: Rp40,000 per kg (down 3.1%)
5. Curly Red Chili: Rp40,000 per kg (up 12.71%)
6. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (down 8.69%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 23.04%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 19.87%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (down 1.75%)
10. Chicken Meat: Rp25,000 per kg (down 34.02%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,000 per liter (up 7.41%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 2.37%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (up 5.94%)
