Current Food Prices in West Java: Onion Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (27/10/2024) at 09.45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, premium rice, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, dry soybean (import), garlic bulb, simple packaged cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp520 (1.9%) to Rp27,920 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the sharpest price decrease, down by Rp950 (2.62%) to Rp35,250 per kg.
