Musi Banyuasin Received the Largest Natural Gas Revenue Sharing in 2020

Musi Banyuasin was the largest recipient of gas bumi (natural gas) revenue sharing (DBH) funds in 2020. According to Ministry of Finance data, this South Sumatra regency received Rp 953.64 billion in gas bumi DBH funds last year. This amount represents 13.54% of the total DBH transferred to 297 regencies/cities across Indonesia.

Teluk Bintuni was the next largest recipient of gas bumi DBH funds. This West Papua regency received Rp 368.9 billion, or 5.24%.

Banggai Regency in Central Sulawesi received Rp 248.38 billion, or 3.54%, in gas bumi DBH funds. Kutai Kartanegara Regency in East Kalimantan also received Rp 236.96 billion, or 3.37%.

Next, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency in Jambi received Rp 174.71 billion, or 2.48%, in gas bumi DBH funds. Musi Rawas Regency in South Sumatra received Rp 160.64 billion, or 2.28%.

Four regencies/cities in the Riau Islands—Bintan Regency, Karimun Regency, Batam City, and Tanjung Pinang City—received the same amount of gas bumi DBH funds: Rp 134.54 billion each, or 1.91%.

In total, the central government transferred Rp 7.04 trillion in gas bumi DBH funds to 297 regencies/cities and Rp 3.6 trillion to 17 provinces in 2020. The total DBH gas bumi transferred in 2020 was Rp 10.64 trillion, a 35.45% decrease compared to the previous year.
