Banten Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Saturday, March 9, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (9/3/2024) at 10:12 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, shallots, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, milkfish, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp2,520 (25.56%) to Rp12,380 per kg. Red chili's price decreased the most, by Rp3,440 (4.97%) to Rp65,810 per kg.
