Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili, Rice, and Sugar Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (29/7/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, fine iodized salt, garlic cloves, granulated sugar, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of livestock-level corn increased the most by Rp210 (4.18%) to Rp5,230 per kg. The price of Indian mackerel decreased the most sharply by Rp1,510 (4.53%) to Rp31,810 per kg.
