Latest Central Java Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (8/12/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp730 (3.53%) to Rp21,400 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna experienced the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp910 (2.94%) to Rp30,040 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on December 8, 2024, at 12:19 WIB.
