Jakarta, DKI Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down (Thursday, February 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/22/2024) at 11:01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), chicken eggs, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, milkfish, mackerel, garlic cloves, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up Rp9,580 (12.02%) to Rp89,270 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease, down Rp1,640 (4.04%) to Rp38,950 per kg.
